 Le Bijoux Day Spa is a premier boutique day spa located in the historic downtown Frederick Maryland. We are looking for a highly qualified and friendly Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team.  

The perfect Le Bijoux Day Spa team member will be personable and enthusiastic about helping our guests find the balance and healing they need. We are looking for LMT’s with experience in a small Spa environment; but an outgoing, friendly and guest-oriented personality are just as important. All applicants should have great communication skills, a willingness to learn and a valid Maryland license.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, your primary responsibilities will be to provide services to clients through soft tissue manipulation while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience. In addition, you would work with the staff to create/update massage menu services, as appropriate, based on client feedback and/or management direction based on your scope of practice and educational training.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform professional quality massage, within scope of practice and licensing (as applicable).

· Design specific sessions based on members or guests’ individual needs.

· Create a excellent member/guest experience through friendly and helpful attitude.

· Perform hot stone, deep muscle, or prenatal therapy, based on appropriate training 

· Utilize other approved modalities, in accordance with Le Bijoux Day Spa menu and Maryland applicable law.

· Recommend retail products to guests

· Communicate various promotions to clients.

· Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.

· Follow infectious control and sanitation procedures to ensure the health, safety, and cleanliness of the treatment rooms and overall Le Bijoux Day spa location (therapy rooms and common areas).

· Update guest service charts in Vagaro accurately and completely.

· Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the Spa.

· Assist in all areas of Spa operation as requested by Management; and follow policies and procedures

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· RMP is 600 hours LMT is 750

· Adherence to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current Massage License

· Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required, as well as knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities

· Understands and believes in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork

· Satisfactory results of background and reference check is a condition of employment in this position

· Provide of valid personal liability insurance
